Meet and greet at your hotel after safari briefing, and drive to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private sanctuary within Taita Hills that covers an area of 100 sq km. It hosts cape buffalo, elephant, zebra, hartebeest, impala, waterbuck, Thomson’s gazelle, lesser kudu, dik-dik, leopard, Maasai lion, Maasai giraffe, and birds, to mention a few. Lunch is at Taita lodge. Overnight will be at Saltlick Lodge, built atop stilts overlooking a water hole and designed for lofty game viewing from its thatched-roof rondavels and walkways. (For saltlick option, standard clients will stay at Taita Hills. Afternoon game drive, animals expected to be seen include lions, cheetahs, baboons, giraffes, elephants, to mention a few—dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Early morning game drive return for breakfast, then return to Mombasa with a game drive en route to be dropped back at the hotel.
