Meet and greet, followed by safari briefing, proceed to Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo means ‘Place of Slaughter’ in the local dialect. Indeed, this park is recommended for photographers with its fabulous light and fantastic views. These include: the Mudanda Rock and the Yatta Plateau, the world’s most significant lava flow. Lugard Falls on the Galana River are remarkable for the shape of water-worn rocks. Besides the big 5, waterbuck, kudu, gerenuk, and zebra can be spotted here. Aruba hunter’s hartebeest, with its lyre-shaped horns, is represented. Lunch at Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Afternoon game drive, dinner, and overnight.
To sum up, have an early morning game drive back to the lodge for breakfast, and leave for Mombasa. On arrival, drop off back to your hotel. This marks the end of our Tsavo East Safari.
