This is a beautiful wildlife haven located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The Lake is ideal for bird watchers, hikers, and animal lovers. Above all, the park has Greater and lesser Flamingos and other terrestrial birds. It has 56 species of mammals recorded. Lion Hill and Baboon Cliff are some viewpoints in this park. The famous Makalia Falls is the only falls found in this park. In addition, more than 550 plant species, including the biggest euphorbia forest in Africa and yellow acacia woodlands, are notable attractions.
With its 188 sq km size, visitors enjoy wide ecological diversity and several other habitats. Camping sites and equipment are available for those who want to get closer to nature.
