Day 01: Arrival

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to your room for dinner and overnight.

Day 02: The marvellous Murchison Falls on the Nile

Early morning, leave Entebbe by driving northwest through the famous Luwero Triangle. If you start early morning, visiting the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to see rhinos in the wild is possible. Lunch at the Masindi Hotel. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest protected area in Uganda, with 3.840 km², named after the falls on the Victoria Nile, which divides the park into two sectors. Relax at a site on the top of the spectacular falls, where you can see the Nile’s perfected beauty and marvel as it compresses and squeezes itself from over 1 kilometre wide down through a seven-meter canyon. The 43-meter drop of the falls creates a thunderous roar and a beautiful rainbow in a plume of spray – the best of the Nile River. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 03: The boat cruise on the River Nile

Your day starts with an early morning game drive, traversing the Northern part of the park for a game drive to view and take photographs of elephants, buffalo, waterbucks, hippos, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions, if you are lucky, the leopards, plus a variety of bird species. After lunch, proceed for a two-hour cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls. This is an opportunity to see the amazing hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Fort Portal in the shadow of the Mountains of the Moon

Early morning transfer from Murchison Falls, driving Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Great Western Rift Valley. Drive through Hoima and reach the colourful and beautiful town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, situated in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,” the Rwenzori.

Day 05: Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Pearl of Uganda

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast. Have a game drive en route to the lodge. After lunch, enjoy the two-hour launch trip on Kazinga Channel for extraordinary bird life and a variety of wildlife. An evening drive to the crater lakes region is rewarding. Dinner & overnight at the lodge.

Day 06: The habituated chimpanzees of Kyambura Gorge

Take an early morning cup of coffee before setting off for a game drive along Kasenyi track and Queen’s Mile in the park, and expect to see lions, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, and many animals and birds. Get back to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch, drive to Kyambura gorge for a forest walk to look for the habituated chimpanzees and other primates. This gorge is 16 km long in the Rift Valley and 100 meters deep. The rangers will provide you with a walking stick for this spectacular trek. Dinner & overnight at the lodge.

Day 07: The tree-climbing lions in Ishasha

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ishasha sector of the park for a game drive in search of tree-climbing lions. Today, you will have a packed lunch. After the game drive, proceed to Bwindi for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 08: The magic encounter with the mountain gorillas

After an early breakfast and briefing from the guides, we set off for the mountain gorilla tracking inside the Bwindi forest. You need to carry drinking water, a rain jacket, and jungle boots, while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is one of the unique activities you will enjoy while photographing and observing the gorillas. After monitoring, return to the Homestead for lunch before making a scenic journey to Kabale through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with a terraced landscape. It is an area referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with its incredible view of Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at

Day 09: The fabulous scenery of Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, have a two-hour boat ride inside Lake Bunyonyi to various islands inside the lake for bird viewing, sightseeing, and discovering the sites of the Bakiga culture. Drive to Entebbe. Lunch en route in Mbarara. A stopover is made at the Equator for photography.

Day 2 -The marvelous Murchison Falls
Early morning, leave Kampala for this Jungle Uganda safari driving further northwest to Murchision falls national park. Proceed to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a nature walk to see the rare rhinos in the wild. Lunch in Masindi Hotel .Finally, proceed to Murchison Falls National Par. Day 3 – The boat cruise on the river Nile
Embark on an early morning game drive on the Northern bank .Your guide will help you spot animal found here for instance, elephants, lions, cape buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, spotted hyenas and, if you are lucky, leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Relax at the swimming pool side. After lunch. Later, take a boat to the calm Victoria Nile and the base of the falls just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron.” There you can marvel at toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over the 17-kilometer stretch you may also see elephants, waterbucks as well as Uganda kobs. This is also the habitat for many bird species including; goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelican bee-eaters, kingfishers, Hornbills, cormorants and the rare shoebill stork. After taking photographs of the Murchison Falls you will return for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 4 – Fort Portal on the shadow of the Mountains of the Moon
Today, drive from Murchison Falls Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. You drive further through Hoima, the town of the Bunyoro kindgom, passing though verdant countryside, tea plantations and traditional homesteads. You reach the colorful and pretty town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,” the Rwenzori. Finally, dinner and overnight at Mountains of the moon or Fortmotel or Ataco country Resort ( B)
Day 5 – Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park
Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park after an early break, for primate viewing. The activity starts at around 8.00 am in the morning. A half day search for chimpanzees in addition to other primates. Besides this, we also have phoestes, Red-colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked manga beys swinging through the dense forest. Birds, butterflies and many small insects can be found here. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna as well as flora. After that, have a visit to Bigodi swamp eco -tourism site which is very amazing, as we shall encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna.Lastly,on the way back do not miss the beauty of the Kasenda Crater Lakes, which dominates all the surrounding areas with the possibility of amazing panoramic views.

Day 6 -The boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
After a cup of coffee, embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens’s mile tracks in the park and expect to see ;lions, elephants, Cape buffalo, warthogs, leopard, spotted hyena, mangoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, topi besides other small animals and birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax on the swimming pool. Later, after lunch board the boat cruise for the best navigation of the Kazinga Channel. This is a good experience for birding, as you will see many water birds, cormorants, pelicans, eagles, crocodiles, hippos as well as elephants. Transfer to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Ihamba lodge or Bush lodge.
Day 7 – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today, after a cup of coffee embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens mile in the park .Animals expected to be seen are for instance; lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs , leopard, in addition to other small animals besides birds. You will reach the Lake George. Drive back to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon drive to the splendid Crater Lakes region for sightseeing’s. Finally, dinner and overnight will be at Mweya safari lodge or Ihamba lodge or Bush lodge.
Day 8 – The tree climbing lions of Ishasha sector
After breakfast, drive through the Ishasha sector of QENP; go for a game drive in the open Savannah in search for the tree climbing lions. These rare lions are found only in this part of the park. It’s impressive to look at them while they are resting on top of the fig trees. Lunch en-route. finally, proceed to the Mweya peninsula. Dinner and overnight at Lake Mutanda Chameleon hill or Silverback lodge or Buhoma Community.
Day 9 – The encounter with mountains gorillas
Early morning transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before you enter into the gorilla sanctuary of Bwindi Forest. The rainforest is spectacular as it offers a dramatic, heavily forested as well as a dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. This park is best known for the fascinating mountains gorillas, where the time taken and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time with and observing the gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other.

Day 10 – The beautiful Lake Bunyonyi

Take breakfast before making a scenic journey to Kabale through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. An area similarly known as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Stop over at the Bakiga Museum in Kabale to discover the culture of the people living in the area. Later, enjoy lunch at Arcadia Cottages with unique and amazing panoramic view of the Lake Bunyonyi. Most importantly, this is the deepest lake in Uganda. Afternoon boats ride inside the lake to various islands for bird viewing as well as sightseeing.
Lastly, return to Birdnest or Heritage lodge or Bunyonyi overland for dinner and overnight.
Day 11 – Lake Mburo National Park
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest in Uganda in size. Take a game drive in search for the beautiful impalas, zebras, cape buffalos, elands, oribi as well as topi. Besides game drive, many visitors also enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mburo. The park is a very good opportunity for bird watchers, who will enjoy more than 250 species of birds found here.For instance,Papyrus gonoleks, Brown-faced lapwings and Carruther’s cisticolas.
Overnight at Mihingo lodge or Mpogo lodge.
Day 12- Reserved for Departure
Lastly, you will sum up your holiday with delicious breakfast .Later, check out and drive back to Kampala for your onward holiday or your flight back home.

GORILLA TRACKING

The program includes a day in Bwindi to track gorillas. The cost of the gorilla permit is included in the tariff.

We can obtain these permits if you communicate with us in advance. If they are available, they must be paid immediately.

If there is a modification, we will communicate it as soon as possible.
Once requested and paid for, the gorilla permit is not refundable in case of cancellation.

VISA

A visa is needed for Uganda. A passport with a minimum validity of 6 months is required. The price is $100 (valid for one month and a single entrance). The visa is issued at the airport on arrival.

TRANSPORT

We use 4×4 minibus vehicles or Land Cruisers.

Day 02 – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Leave Kampala in the morning. Stopover at the Equator, a famous spot for photography. For the rest of the journey, view the long-horned Ankole cattle, papyrus acacia woodlands, and terraced landscape of Kigezi highlands on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Lunch is en route to Mbarara at the Igongo Cultural Centre, and there is a chance to visit the Ankole cultural museum. Dinner and overnight

Day 03 – Gorilla Tracking

After an early breakfast and briefing from the guide, we set off for gorilla trekking in the Forest Sanctuary. The activity starts at 8.00 am. You need to carry a packed lunch, a rain jacket, and jungle boots. The rangers will provide walking sticks, and your driver will ensure you have enough drinking water. The time taken to find the gorillas depends on the movements of these marvelous primates. An encounter with an earth-shaking 350-pound silverback or baby gorilla is an unforgettable experience!

Day 04 – The tree-climbing Lions of Ishasha sector
