Tsavo East National Park, referred to as “the theater of the world,” is Kenya’s largest and oldest park. The untapped arena of arid bush and landscape, on which the limitless lava of the Yatta plateau is worth exploring
River Galana is one of the most evocative images in Africa. Features in this park include the Yatta plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, 300 Kilometers long, Lugard Falls, and the Galana River. Besides the beautiful scenery, many animals are well-represented in the world.
Pick up from your hotel, safari briefing, and drive to Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo means ‘Place of Slaughter’ in the Kamba language. This park is best for photographers with its fabulous light and fantastic views, which include the Mudanda Rock and the Yatta Plateau, the world’s most significant lava flow. Lugard Falls on the Galana River are remarkable for the shaped water-worn rocks. The animals found here include the Big 5, waterbuck, kudu, gerenuk, and zebra. Aruba hunter’s hartebeest, with its lyre-shaped horns. Lunch at Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Afternoon game drive to follow, returning to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Head further up to Amboseli National Park. The park is well known for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Masai people and Stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Huge herds of wildebeests and many other animals, including giraffes, African lions, monkeys, zebras, hyenas, and antelopes, are well represented. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. An afternoon game drive will follow, where you can spot all the above-mentioned animals—meals- overnight at the lodge.

Leave after breakfast with a game drive en route to Salt Lick ‘Famed for being among the most photographed lodges”.The lodge is at the top of stilts overlooking a water hole and designed for lofty game viewing from its thatched-roof rondavels and walkways. Lunch at Taita Hills game lodge, sister hotel to Saltlick. Afternoon game drive, animals expected here include lions, cheetah, baboons, giraffes, elephants, and many more—dinner and overnight at the lodge.
